Our Story
Founded by Kayla Merrell, Princeton & Company Inc is more than a nonprofit organization—it is a beacon of hope, dignity, and opportunity in Birmingham. Our mission is deeply rooted in restoring communities through affordable housing, redevelopment, and community education, with a focus on transforming distressed neighborhoods into thriving, inclusive spaces.
Kayla Merrell, the visionary behind Princeton & Company, believes that true community transformation begins with understanding and compassion. With a profound empathy for underserved families, unhoused individuals, and those affected by HIV/AIDS, Kayla leads the charge in raising awareness, providing housing support, and driving sustainable change in the City of Birmingham.
